you are quite simple, hey poem
if you have to be written, for everyone
you are quite simple, common, shared, collective .
in case, a human writes you;
but i am not human
neither do i live among humans
nor are my friends
they are not human either
what is a human, hey poem?
does he exist only when, you are to be written;
oh false poem
why dont you have a religion?
your neighbourhood, your relatives and your creators.
all of them worship idols,
bow, spreading their hands
cover their heads;
but why do they write you, just for the time being, hey humane poem;

the might of the wise says
the wisdom of the mighty says
we should not kill the enemy
the enmity inside should be killed
and to kill the enmity
we don’t need
or the sword
we just needs to frown
and if it does not work
we need breadcrumbs
the raised fists
become wagging tails
not only the enmity of the enemy gets killed
lot more is killed along with
we should not kill the enemy
wisdom of the mighty says

Jasdeep brings out contemporary Punjabi poetry and often renders them into excellent English
Now its my turn to follow the rules of Brilliante Awards by passing it on to the 5 bloggers i admire:
Uddari - Fauzia Rafiq and other prolific writers collaborate to blog about contemporary Punjabi Literature, art, events and movements .
Folk Punjabi- Deepinder puts nice effort to blog about folk Punjabi boliaan.
Punjabi Haiku- Amarjit Sathi has started a new wave in Punjabi haiku writing, works of new writers and translation of Haiku from around the world is posted here.
RoopScoop – for doing wonderful job by starting a blog like unchahi on female foeticide.
Lafjan da Pul – Deep Jagdeep wants to bridge the divide by making it easy for people who write in Gurmukhi and provide a platform for everything that is Punjabi.
There are so many blogs in my reading list that should have been brillante award winners but these five bloggers share a connection of being Punjabi centric and as ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਛਾਂਵੇ is Punjabi centric too so they got it.
I want to know suggestions from ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਛਾਂਵੇ readers what changes they want to see here and what are the things they want to read more .

I might accept
that for me, you were
a gush of wind, and not a season of spring
splutter of raindrops, and not a downpour
just an acquaintance and not beloved
our parents have everything in common, but not the customs
though we are human , but casts are not alike
I might accept
that it was an acquaintance of sometime, not love
Source : Wrote it a year back, a friend was going through this. Another friend told his similar story, So could not help posting it.
Indian society is getting liberal but caste hierarchies are deep rooted .We inherit thousands years of casteist history.
English Translation is also mine with help from Manpreet
