ਯਤਨ / trial

ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਇਵੇਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਦੌੜਾਕ ਮੇਖਾਂ ਪਰਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਕਾਰੀਗਰ ਸੰਦ ਬਦਲਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਕਿਸਾਨ ਦੁਵਾਰਾ ਬੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਨਵੀਂ ਸੜਕ ਫੜਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ,
ਅੱਜ ਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਸੀ,
ਕੱਲ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਸਾਜਰੇ ਉੱਠਾਂਗਾਂ;

athlete checks the spikes
smith changes the tools
peasant sows again
labourer starts working on a new road
i will also practice the same
it was a day of loss
i will rise up early
for a win tomorrow
